Social Smoke Tobacco FAQ
What is Social Smoke Tobacco?
A premium shisha (hookah) tobacco line developed in-house for bold flavor, smooth smoke, and consistent performance.
When was Social Smoke Tobacco released?
Originally released in early 2010 after roughly five years of in-house research and development.
What makes Social Smoke different?
100% in-house recipes, no artificial dyes or preservatives, and a focus on clean taste, smoothness, and a long flavorful session.
Where is it made?
Social Smoke was manufactured in the USA through 2023. Production now takes place in Tunisia using the original formula, ingredients, and tightly controlled processes to maintain flavor and quality consistency.
What’s the cut and how should I pack it?
Medium, easy-to-work cut. Use a light “fluff” pack in your bowl, leveled just below the rim for optimal airflow.
Recommended heat management?
With an HMD, start with two natural coconut coals; allow a short warm-up, then rotate or adjust every 10–15 minutes to avoid scorching. With a German-style chimney setup, three smaller coals are typically recommended. Social Smoke performs best at medium heat. Avoid hot spots and prevent direct tobacco contact with foil or the HMD.
How long does a session last?
Typically 60–90 minutes depending on bowl size, packing style, and heat.
How should I store it?
Keep sealed, upright, and away from heat and sunlight. Stir gently before use to redistribute juices.
Does it have a shelf life?
Hookah tobacco continues to age over time. For the best experience, use within about two years of the production date. After opening, keep tightly sealed and consume within a reasonable period for peak freshness.
Does it contain dyes or preservatives?
No artificial dyes or preservatives are used in Social Smoke Tobacco.
What about nicotine strength?
We use a low-nicotine leaf for a smoother experience.
Why is my smoke harsh or thin?
Usually heat or airflow. Reduce coal heat, ensure a fluffy pack below the rim, avoid direct tobacco contact with foil or an HMD, and verify your setup is airtight.
